About the role
Key Account Manager - Palliative Care - South West England & South Wales
Our client offers a broad product portfolio of value-added medicines, delivered through investment in product development, in-licensing and product or company acquisitions. They are one of the largest suppliers of hospital injectable and oral dose products to the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, focusing on anti-infectives, oncology, pain and ophthalmology medication.
They strive to transform healthcare through innovative pharmaceutical products and are dedicated to bringing new products with added value to market, to meet the diverse needs of patients and healthcare providers.
As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a talented Key Account Manager covering the Bristol / Cardiff / Plymouth area.
The role will be engaging with ICB, Health Board and Acute Trust decision makers, then driving pull through activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and implement successful regional and local business plans
- Differentiate the product value proposition
- Develop a business plan for own territory in line with brand strategy for most important accounts
- Understand patient flow, local ecosystems and key influencers so that key territory plans are appropriately informed
- Supports formuat local/ regional level
- Strong abilities to leveraglary gains e Omnichannel approach for key customers to increase adoption
Candidate requirements:
- ABPI qualified
- Ideally experience working the therapeutic areas of palliative care/oncology and with established relationships
- Proven experience of interacting with and shaping relationships directly with healthcare stakeholders
- Solid understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, including national & local payors, providers and healthcare funding flows and ability to turn knowledge into insights and real impact
- Can think independently and act autonomously
- Entrepreneurial self-starter
