Key Account Manager - CardioRenal - Black Country, Derbyshire & Staffordshire

This world leading Healthcare Company is at the cutting edge of Specialist Medicine and pride themselves on a detailed understanding and rapid response to ever changing market needs.

Their product pipeline is extremely diverse and their well-established divisions cover areas including Diabetes, Oncology, Anti-Coagulants, Ophthalmology, Female Health, Neurology and Diagnostic Imaging.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager within their CardioRenal division.

The KAM is to be responsible for the production, development and implementation of the account plans across the total health economy for the CardioRenal portfolio. The plans will need to address any funding, capacity and access barriers and focus on service redesign in order to deliver against the sales targets.

The account plans need to demonstrate cross functional ways of working and therefore, need to be developed collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders NHS partnerships can be advanced. The KAM will take a targeted approach to customers who directly influence prescribing, funding and patient access to services. You will utilise a multichannel strategy to establish and maintain strong customer relationships in order to drive sales growth and prepare for future brand launches.

The successful candidate is expected to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven track record of consistently high performance, preferably within the CV field
  • Experience of ensuring market access, securing formularies and developing pathways to ensure optimal patient flow and maximising prescribing opportunities
  • Highly motivated with drive & determination to succeed & willingness to adapt to change
  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate pro-activity
  • Strong understanding of customer drivers and of the NHS: including commissioning pathways, funding streams, NHS organisations and implementation of NICE guidance
  • Clear understanding of KAM theory and practical implementation
  • Excellent in call quality skills accompanying a high level of clinical, disease area knowledge
