National Sales Manager - Derma/Biologics - UK

Our client is a highly regarded international healthcare company with a strong foothold in the UK Medical dermatology marketplace and has ambitious growth plans for the next few years. They are committed to enhancing the quality of people's lives through their innovative, science-based portfolio of sophisticated brands and services, trusted and recommended by healthcare professionals.

Its an exciting time for them as they enter the biologics market in Dermatology with a new asset/ mode of action which will be indicated for Atopic Dermatitis and Prurigo Nodularis.

The NSM will lead the UK sales function for the Prescription Business Unit at a national level across the UK with the purpose of delivering the sales plan and a specific focus on the new Biologics launch in Dermatology. This will require developing a clear vision for their product and portfolio performance that includes marketing and market access strategies. You will liaise with other functional departments as needed to support the realisation of the UK sales expectations within a defined period. Also critical will be the ability to recruit, retain, develop and lead a team of Key Account Managers to implement both the short term and the long-range UK sales plans.

Candidate requirements:

  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and UK healthcare system
  • Experience in Immunology and preferably Dermatology and high cost drugs launch experience
  • Proven track record of sales achievement in front line and management positions
  • Demonstrable understanding of and experience of market access activities
  • Proven track record of successful individual and team performance development
  • An intuitive understanding of how to build and maintain high performing teams
  • Strategic mind-set
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Has presence, a natural gravitas, and demonstrates confidence
  • Customer and results focused
