How long have you been with CHASE and what is your area of responsibility?
I joined CHASE in September 2014 to initially recruit for commercial opportunities within the growing Healthcare division of CHASE. I am now dealing with Graduate recruitment across both our Pharmaceutical and Healthcare divisions for the North West, West Midlands, Wales, South West, M4 Corridor and South London.
What’s your background prior to joining CHASE?
After graduating from University I worked within sales for The AA, then moved into recruitment where I was based within the Engineering division of a Cardiff based company. I had always been interested in working within the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry, and love recruitment, so then joined CHASE where I could bring the two interests together!
What types of role will you be recruiting for?
I will be recruiting for Graduate level commercial opportunities within both Healthcare and Pharmaceutical companies. These will be entry level roles in Sales and Marketing that offer real development opportunities.
What’s the single best bit of advice you can give to a candidate?
The best advice I could give any candidate is to remember that first impressions definitely count when looking for a new job. Ensuring you portray yourself in a positive manner from the get go is so important, especially with how competitive the market is currently. Things like punctuality, organisation and preparation are key. Specifically for Graduates I would say research is very important. Utilizing the skills you’ve picked up during your studies and ensuring you have a thorough understanding of the role and the industry you are keen to break into is key. You want to make sure you stand out when up against other candidates wanting the same role as you.Email Kate Connect on LinkedIn
